Praying for Persecuted Christians...

Between June 2010 and January 2011 there was a significant increase in the number of Christians arrested solely for practicing their faith. In these six months there were 202 arrests and at the end of January at least 33 were still in prison. During this period there were also a series of hostile statements from officials regarding Christianity. To read the detailed report click here.

Let's pray for:

1. Their boldness to stand up for the Gospel in prison.

2. Their release.

3. Their ministry.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body,  Hebrews 13:3.

Prayers and Blessings,

Kelli

  1. Hearing there stories and reading them bring tears to one's eyes because we here who have all the freedom to workshop God and read His word I have to say we don't take it seriously enough. Not saying everyone but I wonder at times if we did not have our freedom would we risk all for the gospel? Thanks for sharing

  2. I am thankful to live in the freedom that we do. I can't say how I would live for Him in another situation as I am not in one. If the day comes where I am faced with the choice of Him or prison, death, etc. I pray for the courage and strength to choose Him. If I truly believe that He is my life, my future, my ALL- then this temporary life means nothing to me but how I can be of assistance to His kingdom while I am here.

  3. I know I am guilty of taking our freedoms for granted. Christians around the world are being persecuted for standing up for Christ. Thanks for encouraging us to pray for them.

  4. Amen Kelli.

We are truly Blessed in the freedom we have to grow and exercise our faith in Christ, and it's very easy to forget there are many who aren't so fortunate.

    Thank you for the reminder!

    Have a Blessed Day!

  6. We take our freedom to worship for grantid and rarely even think of those who risk their lives to stand up for their faith. Thank you for drawing our attention to this.
