"Women Reaching Women," By: Kelli Zaniel

I believe reaching women and leading them to the Word of God is an important call of the Lord. If we as Christian women can extend Christ’s perfect love and gift of salvation to unbelievers, He will do amazing work in and through us! Even if we feel inadequate to share the gospel with folks at basketball practice or gymnastics, we can exhibit God’s unfailing love and grace by experiencing life differently. The atmosphere around people with the light of Jesus shining through them is both refreshing and energizing. What a great compliment to have someone approach you and ask, “What is different about you? I want what you have!” Then how easy it would be to pour out God’s heavenly blessings onto such a willing participant. If we remain focused on God, we WILL overcome our own inadequacies, not by our own strength but by God’s strength and we will not be ashamed to share the good news with others.

Women are very influential in a family. Women take care of the home, the children and basically make the household function in a peaceful flow. Leading women to the heart of God can leave a powerful and profound impact on our families. All it takes is one small seed planted in a women’s heart and God can take that seed and grow a garden full of potential in her home.

For those women who have received the precious gift of salvation, are you spending enough time with God? Are you getting to know the heart of God by spending quiet time with Him each day? Do you thirst for His living water and desire to receive your daily portion? We as women need to get into the Word and let the Word get into us! Spending time with our great creator should be our first priority before our feet touch the floor in the morning. We need to have a RELATIONSHIP with our heavenly father. Do you have a relationship or a religion? A relationship is “knowing God for who He is not for what He does.” If you remember the first time you fell in love, you probably had a burning desire to spend time together, talk with one another and express intimate thoughts and feelings. This is the kind of relationship God wants with us. The Bible says, that he “delights in us!”

God gave the children of Israel a small daily portion of manna each day. If God had given them enough to last a month, the people would not have needed Him on a daily basis for their survival, and thus would not have experienced God’s presence in their lives…there would have been no personal relationship. This is a wonderful example of God’s desire for a daily relationship with His children. He wants us to come to directly to Him for our daily portion every day. I personally always knew God for what He did, not for who he is. I have been a Christian since I was six years old but I have just recently begun truly experiencing God in a new way. We have a relationship now that is nothing short of "heavenly!" I do not seek His Word by obligation, but by a burning fire in my soul that continually thirsts for His overpowering presence in my heart. I have not been the same since and I don’t ever want to go back.

Reflection of Faith
Psalms 91:15 “We can honor Him by calling on Him, making communication part of our daily relationship with Him.”
